About Dena Carter
Dena Carter has been painting professionally for 25 years. An artist and healer of spirit and soul, Dena continues to chronicle the healing journey through her artwork and paintings. Her colorful brushstrokes are energy transmissions that carry intentions of empowerment, love, joy, spirituality, compassion and inspiration. There is a sense of timelessness that embodies her work and her paintings are often described by viewers as having a 'healing quality.'
Dena works as an Artist, Yoga Teacher & Healer in Southern Oregon. Her art education background includes a Degree in Graphic Design in 1987 from Mount Hood Community College, Gresham, Oregon. Professer Howard Neufeld encouraged her to explore painting in an abstract style. She has lived in Los Angeles & Portland, Oregon where she worked as a Freelance Artist and Greeting Card Designer. She worked and studied at the Getty Museum, L.A. The work you see here is mainly acrylic on canvas and some works of pencil and gouache on paper.
In Dena's words: "When people view the paintings, I wish for them a sense of warmth, well-being, support, inspiration and the remembrance of Source-Spirit that is in them always. I am devoted to creating an inspiring and healing intent and then bringing that energy into the painting. Ultimately it is about helping others 'remember who we really are'…spirit beings making this amazing bridge with being human."
